6 ships arrive Lagos ports with petrol, bulk fertiliser

Six ships laden with various products, including petrol, are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) made this known in its daily “Shipping Position” made available in Lagos on Tuesday.

It said five of the vessels were waiting to berth with petrol. The document noted that the sixth ship would berth with fertilizer.

NPA stated that 38 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected in Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between June 12 and June 26.

The expected ships contained buckwheat, containers, steel, frozen fish, bauxite, empty containers, soya beans, diesel, bulk sugar, base oil, bulk fertiliser, general cargo and petrol,’’ it said
