2019: Group sensitises FCT residents for Atiku

By Olaleke ASHAFA

Victory Vote for Atiku (VIVA), a support group for the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, says it has commenced  sensitisation campaign for residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The leader of the group in FCT,  Mrs Comfort Wakani, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja.

The group kick started the sensitisation with residents at the Kugbo Community in Karu axis of the, before taking it to other locations.

Wakani said that the aim of the campaign ahead of the general election was to ensure that the people at the grassroots were well informed.

“Our objectives are to ensure that everyone is well informed, educate and engage in this upcoming election positively.

“We deal with grassroots and that is why we went to Kugbo community first to ensure they are aware of the forth coming election.

“We do not intend to stop there as we will ensure everyone at the grassroots level is aware of what we do to prepare the ahead,’’ she said.

She noted that voters in the community had become well exposed to political activities after the visit, adding that they were convinced a vote for the PDP presidential candidate was a vote to change their lives for the better.

“The people of Kugbo were happy as we didn’t just go to campaign alone but also shared foodstuff such as rice, garri, pasta, salt and maggi cubes to the needy,” she added.

Wakani said that the group was prepared to spread the good policies of the PDP presidential candidate and his running mate to all the nooks and crannies of the Country.
