Jos Metropolitan Board generates N3m – Official

By Elizabeth ADENUGA

General Manager, Jos Metropolitan Development Board (JMDB), Mr Mathias Hata,  says the board has generated N3.2 million from its Park and Pay project on Ahmadu Bello Way in 2018.

Hata who spoke in Jos on Sunday, said the project started in April 2018.

He explained that the project had also provided employment opportunities for some jobless youths within the state.

‘‘So many of our youths are now gainfully employed, and we are also happy that this initiative had come with this amount of money,’’ he said.

Hata said that the board would extend the services to other parts of the state before the end of 2019.

The General Manager stated that the board would soon make places like Yan tire and Bauchi Road accessible to improve commercial activities in the areas.

He, however, advised motorists to always collect receipts whenever they made payments at the park so as to improve the board’s revenue generation drive.
