Olubadan loses mother-in-law

The mother-in-law of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji,  Alhaja Abibat Baoku is dead.

Alhaja Baoku, 97, died in the early hours of Sunday at her College Crescent, Ibadan home.

Until her death, she was a renowned trader and wife of First Republic politician, Chief R. S. B Baoku.

TBI Africa said that this was contained In a statement issued , signed and made available to The Nation on Sunday, by the Personal Assistance/Director of Media and Public Affairs to the Olubadan, Mr. Adeola Oloko,  Alhaja Abibat Baoku  was  survived by children, grand children and great grand children.

Among her surviving children are Messer Muniru Baoku, Olori Rasheedat Alolade Baoku and Mr. Ganiyu Baoku.

She was  buried according to Islamic rites at 4.00 pm Sunday at her home.
