The Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) on Monday, alerted residents of the state of power disruptions as it embarks on facility maintenance.

KEDCO made this announcement in Kaduna, in a statement signed by its head, Corporate Communications Abdulazeez Abdullahi.

Abdullahi explained that customers on KEDCO network would experience power outage for some time, as it had commenced series of network maintenance across the four states of Kaduna, Kebbi, Zamfara and Sokoto.

He explained further that the maintenance work would continue for three months across the affected states.

According to the spokesman, the maintenance work had become imperative to ensure more qualitative power supply.

“We wish to inform our customers that in order to ensure sustained and qualitative power supply during the coming rainy season, we have scheduled a series of network maintenance across our franchise states.

“The maintenance work, which will take place over a three-month period, will see our technical team engaged in tree trimming exercise.

“It will also involve replacement of broken wooden cross arms and poles, as well as the replacement of weak jumpers and cracked insulators.

“During this period, power supply will be interrupted in the affected areas.

He assured the consumers in the affected areas that regular power supply would be restored as soon as the maintenance work was completed.

“We hereby, apologise to our esteem customers for the interruptions and we also assure them that steady power supply will resume once the work is completed,” Abdullahi said.——-NAN
