11 ships waiting to berth in Lagos ports

Eleven ships carrying various products are waiting to berth at the Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos State.

According to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) daily publication – Shipping Position -one of the vessels is laden with petrol.

The NPA said in the Tuesday’s edition of Shipping Position that the remaining 10 ships would berth with containers, general cargo and aviation fuel.

The NPA also said that 22 ships carrying buckwheat, frozen fish, bulk sugar, bulk salt, containers, buckwheat and general cargo were expected to berth from March 5 to March 21.

It said that the 22 ships were also carrying bulk gypsum, base oil and petrol. —NAN
