Crown Flour Mills to inaugurate Bakers’ App, unveils Brand Ambassador for Mama Gold

Crown Flour Mills, a subsidiary of Olam Grains Nigeria, says it will soon inaugurate a Bakers’ App for the industry stakeholders to improve the quality of its products in the country.

The Managing Director, Olam Grains Nigeria, Mr Anurag Shukla, made the disclosure during the unveiling of Alhaji Raji Omotunde as the firm’s brand ambassador for Mama Gold Flour on Tuesday in Lagos.

Shukla, who was represented by Mr Rohit Chugh, Deputy Managing Director of the company, said the app would be inaugurated before July.

According to him, the Bakers App will be a meeting point for all bakers, dealers and others to connect and engage the firm on its products.

“We all know digital technology is the way to go. All bakers will just have to download the app and connect with the company much faster to take the Mama Gold Flour to the next level,’’ he said.

Mr Bolaji Anifowose, Vice President, Commercial, Crown Flour Mills, said that the choice of Omotunde, who is the Chairman, Lagos State Master Bakers and Caterers Association of Nigeria, was to promote the brand.

Anifowose said that the firm had been looking for ways to better connect with bakers and the opportunity presented itself in the selection of Omotunde.

“The event today will create a platform to relate with bakers and to personify the brand in the ambassador. Omotunde has shown tremendous support for the brand in over 20 years. It is a well-deserved honour,’’ he said.

Sir Dominic Daniels, National President, Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria (AMBCN), commended Crown Flour Mills for maintaining and strengthening a cordial relationship with bakers.

Daniels, who was represented by Alhaji Kabir Hassan, said that the association would also like to encourage the firm to continue a good price regime and maintain the quality of the Mama Gold Flour.

Omotunde said that he was delighted to have been honoured with the duty as an ambassador.

He urged bakers to continue to use Mama Gold Flour and pledged on behalf of the association to promote the company’s products.

TBI Africa.com said the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that bakers and caterers from across country were present at the event, while awards were given to some bakers.
