Kidnappers Release Ex-minister, Isaac Adewole’s Son

Kidnappers have released Dayo, son of the immediate past Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, who was abducted yesterday night.

TBI Africa learnt that the younger Adewole was released this evening but could not confirm if a ransom was paid.

The victim was kidnapped on his farm at Iroko near Fiditi in Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The abductors reportedly wore face mask when they attacked the victim.

One of his staff who escaped the attack alerted villagers who immediately organised a search party that recovered the victim’s car at the neighbouring village of Iware.

Dayo was freed after officers led by Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone XI, Mr Leye Oyebade, the Oyo State commissioner of police (CP) Sina Olukolu and members of other security agencies and the military launched a manhunt for the kidnappers.

Olukolu had disclosed earlier today that five suspects, including Dayo’s domestic staff, had been arrested in connection with the incident.
