Two arrested for defiling mentally challenged lady

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Anambra state command has arrested two persons for allegedly defiling 23-year old Nwanneka Nwaizu who is suspected to be mentally challenged in Ezi Umunya, Oyi local government area of Anambra State. The suspects, Okwuchukwu Anyanwu 36 and Emeka Odoh 25 were said to have taken advantage of the victim to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her. The state police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed while addressing newsmen confirmed the arrests, said the suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations. He said, “At about 3:00 pm, Police detectives attached to Oyi Division arrested one Okwuchukwu Anyanwu ‘M’ 36 and Emeka Odoh ‘M’ 25 all of Ezi Umunya in Oyi LGA of Anambra state.” Suspects had on June 23rd 2019 at about 11:00am took advantage of one 23 year old Nwanneka Nwaizu ‘F’, a mentally challenged girl and had unlawful carnal knowledge with her. “The victim has since been taken to General Hospital Onitsha for medical examination.”
