BREAKING: 10 sailors taken hostage off Nigeria coast as pirates attack Turkish cargo vessel

 

Report have it that pirates attack Turkish cargo vessel Paksoy I off Nigeria coast and have taken 10 sailors hostage, Daily Sabah is reporting.

The ship was said to be leaving the port of Douala, Cameroon for the port of Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

 

A tweet by a private military contractor, Edward @DonKlericuzo, said the ship was “departing from port of Douala / Cameroon to the port of Abidjan / Côte d’Ivoire at coordinates 02: 58N – 004: 40E, 230 kilometers southwest of the Nigerian Brass coast.”

According to the reports, “10 Turkish sailors were taken hostage by the Nigerian pirates”.

It is however gathers that two of the hostages have been freed.
