22 ships with petroleum products, food items expected- NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 22 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods from Dec. 5 to Dec. 25.

The NPA made this known in its publication “Shipping Position’’ made available to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday.

According to it, the ships are expected to arrive at the Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports, Lagos.

The NPA said the ships contained bulk malt, container, general cargo, used vehicles, crude palmolien, automobile gasoline and base oil.

It reports that 30 ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with automobile gasoline, fuel, containers, bulk sugar, used vehicles and buck wheat.

Also, the organisation said that 18 other ships were at the ports discharging general cargo, bulk malt, containers, vehicles, automobile gasoline and fuel.
