Kyari, one of major pillars of APC — party stalwart

Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), on Saturday condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari on the death of his Chief of Staff, Malam Abba Kyari.

Eze expressed the condolence in Port Harcourt, while reacting to the death of Kyari.

He described the late Chief of Staff as one of the major pillars of the current administration adding that the death of Kyari came to him as a big shock.

He said Kyari’s death, no matter the position of some of his critics and associates, had created a great vacuum in the administration of President Buhari and governance in Nigeria.

“He stands as one of the major pillars of the APC-led government and will surely be mentioned and highlighted in most of the great and wise decisions of this administration.

“No matter the stand of anybody, Kyari remains the strongest and most powerful Chief of Staff ever to any President of this country with so much power to influence most of the government’s policies and direction.

“Though, he will be replaced as soon as possible so that governance will not suffer or be slowed down,  but the fact remains that he has left a very big shoe for whoever will be nominated to replace him,” he said.

Eze also stated that the death of Kyari should teach Nigerians, particularly the leaders, that this world is not a permanent place.

He explained that this was with the realisation that should enable people to shun and avoid every form of corruption or policies inimical to the greatness of the nation.
