FG pledges enforcement of interstate travel ban

The Minister of Interior, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, has also assured of an effective enforcement of the interstate travel ban in the coming weeks.

He stated that the police had been given a marching order to stop the movement of unauthorised persons, particularly Almajirai, who had been caught travelling in trucks across the country.

He said, “There are challenges, it has not been as perfect and effective as we planned, but it would get better. In the next few weeks, we would see a lot of improvement in the effectiveness of movement control, restriction enforcement on our highways.”
