Family of Six Escapes as Fuel Tanker Explodes on Otedola Bridge in Lagos

A family of six Saturday evening escaped deat has a tanker loaded with 44,000 fuel exploded on Otedola Bridge in Lagos State.

The tanker driver was said to be driving towards Berger on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway at about 5pm when one of its tyres caught fire on the Otedola bridge.

According to the Southwest Zonal Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, the family of six, the tanker driver and his boy all escaped.

Farinloye added: “No casualty was recorded in the incident.”
