Association lauds MMA2 over improved security at cargo terminal

The Domestic Airport Cargo Agents Association (DACAA), operating at Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2), Lagos has lauded the terminal’s management for installing a state-of-the-art screening machine.

Mr Monday Subair, the Chairman of DACAA made the commendation while speaking with newsmen in Lagos on Friday.

Subair said that the installation of the screening equipment has enhanced security of goods and cargo and help to facilitate movement of cargo within the terminal.

According to him, the equipment could compete favourably with any other facility anywhere around the world.

Subair explained that various security agencies within the cargo shed have been discharging their duties professionally.

“At the moment, security at the cargo shed of MMA2 has significantly improved and we have a good working relationship with various security agencies there.

“The security agencies don’t allow the goods to go through the screening machines alone, they also complement it with physical checking,’’ he said.

Subair, however, advised the management not to relent on its efforts toward improving the security of the cargo at the terminal.
