Ibom Air explains temporary use of Egypt Airbus A220

Ibom Air has informed its passengers that it has brought in replacement aircraft from Egypt Air because one of its recently wet-leased Airbus A220 aircraft is undergoing c-checks maintenance.

The airline’s Group Manager, Marketing, Mrs Annie Essienette made this known in a statement  in Lagos on Wednesday.

Essienette said the replacement was to avoid disappointing the passengers as Ibom Air, “is seriously committed to its customers.”

The airline’s official said the leased aircraft would undergo the c-checks maintenance for an anticipated period of two weeks.

“As a result, our passengers and well-wishers will notice an Airbus A220 draped in Egypt Air livery, operating flights for Ibom Air over the next couple of weeks.

“Please note that this aircraft is standing in until our wet-leased Airbus A220 returns to service.

“While this temporary arrangement is a common practice in the aviation industry, the information is very important because at Ibom Air, it is our practice to always carry our customers along,” she said.

Essienette said the airline priority was to ensure that its passengers continued to enjoy the acclaimed inflight services with minimal schedule disruption.
