BREAKING:FG suspends planned petrol subsidy removal

The Federal Government has suspended the planned removal of petrol subsidy till further notice.

Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, disclosed this during a meeting held at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja, on Monday.

The meeting was convened by the Senate President,Ahmad Lawan, with Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, and Group Managing Director, of NNPC Limited, Mele Kyari, in attendance.

The Federal Government had planned to stop subsidy payments on petroleum products from July 2022.
