President redeploys minster

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-deployment of the Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation, Mohammed H. Abdullahi, to the Office of the Minister of Environment.

A statement yesterday in Abuja by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha, said: “President Buhari has approved the immediate redeployment of Mohammed H. Abdullahi as the new Honourable Minister of Environment with effect from April 6, 2022.

“Until his appointment, Mohammed H. Abdullahi was the Honourable Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation.

“The President hopes that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear on his new assignment for the growth of the country.”

The Federal Ministry of Environment had been run by the Minister of State, Chief Sharon Ikeazor, since September 2021, when the erstwhile substantive Minister of Environment, Muhammad Mahmood Abubakar, handed over to her.
