Deborah: police declare prime suspects wanted

The Nigeria Police, Sokoto State Command on Tuesday declared wanted four suspects in connection with the murder of Deborah Samuel.

The four suspects appeared in a viral video of the killing of Deborah by a mob of Islamic fundamentalists.

A statement issued by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sanusi Abubakar, said the suspects claimed in a video that they instigated the killing of Deborah Samuel for alleged blasphemy.

He noted that other suspects arrested at the scene while dispersing the mob were charged to court and remanded in prison.

He maintained that the State Commissioner of Police Kamaldeen kola Okunlola had declared the suspects seen in the viral video wanted.

He reiterated the Command’s commitment towards apprehending the suspects, adding that the command has already spread its dragnet  for the suspects .

He enjoined members of the public to cooperate with the police and report any of rhe suspects to the command  or any security outfit in their domain.
