Buhari H+hosts APC presidential aspirants, leaders to dinner

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Saturday host all the 23 presidential aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and party leadership to dinner at the State House, Abuja.

The President, who just returned from a one-day visit to Accra, Ghana where he attended an extraordinary meeting of ECOWAS leaders on the crisis in Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso, will discuss over dinner at 8pm with the aspirants and the Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu at the Banquet Hall of the State House.

Sources told THISDAY that the issue of the presidential primaries of the party scheduled for Tuesday, June 7, 2022, will top the agenda of what the President will discuss eith the aspirants and the need to have a common front ahead of the primaries.

The aspirants expected at the meeting include

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Hon Rotimi Amaechi, Senator Ahmad Lawan, Yahaya Bello, Kayode Fayemi, Emeka Nwajiuba, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, David Umahi, Mohammed Badaru and  Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Others are Mr Tein Jack-Rich, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Ben Ayade, Senator Sani Yerima, Senator Ken Nnamani, Ikeobasi Mokelu, Hon Dimeji Bankole, Felix Nicholas, Uju Ken-Ohanenye and Senator Ajayi Borroffice.
