EFCC apprehends 34 internets fraud suspects, in Ibadan

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) Ibadan Zonal Command, on Monday said it has arrested 34 suspected internet frauds in Oyo state.

According to a statement by EFCC, “twenty-one of the suspects were arrested on July 25, 2022, in a sting operation at Apete and Ijokodo areas and the remaining 13 suspects were formally arrested on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Airport road, Alakia and Ologuneru, Ibadan.”

“The suspects arrested by EFCC operatives have been alleged of committing fraudulent activities in Ibadan.

The recovered items are exotic cars, laptops, different brands of mobile phones and several fraudulent documents.

EFCC also said the suspects will be charged to court immediately after the investigation is completed.
