5 ships carrying petroleum products expected at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Monday said that out of the 20 ships expected at the Lagos Port Complex, five were carrying petroleum products.

It listed the petroleum products as butane gas, petrol and automobile gasoline.

It said that the remaining 15 ships expected at the port were carrying bulk salt, general cargo, bulk wheat, container, boat, bulk sugar, bulk fertilizer and froze fish.

NPA reports that three ships were waiting to berth at the port with bulk urea, general cargo, container and petrol.

Also, the organisation said that 17 other ships had arrived at the port and was discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, container, soya bean meal, bulk sugar, butane gas, truck, frozen fish, petrol and bulk urea.

The NPA said that the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex as from Feb. 6 to Feb. 17.
