Marketers to discuss innovation

The organisers of the Nigerian Marketing Awards have said that this year’s edition of the event would focus on how to innovatively move the industry forward.

The convener of the event, Anthony Agenmonmen, while speaking at a press conference in Lagos recently, said this year’s edition of the awards was themed “Elevate, Innovate, Inspire.”

According to him, the theme encapsulates pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a world that thrives on creativity and ingenuity in the current challenging business environment.

He noted that this year’s edition of the awards scheduled to hold on November 10, 2023, in Lagos would feature 26 competitive award categories.

Agenmonmen claimed that the journey of redefining how marketing awards are organised in the country, which began last year, was beginning to resonate with the industry, especially players in the nation’s marketing space.

He said a panel of judges comprising seasoned marketing professionals, accomplished experts in the marketing field and leaders in the industry had been constituted.

On his part, the CEO of CMC Connect, Yomi Badejo-Okusanya commended the organisers for going the whole hog to define how awards should be organised and celebrated in the nation’s marketing place.

The chairman of the panel, Iquo Ukoh, advised individuals and corporate bodies in the country’s marketing space to avail themselves of the opportunities presented by the award.

“We are fully committed to this cause, and that is why I’ll advise practitioners and corporate organisations to avail themselves of the opportunities it presents. It is a way of tracking performance in the industry, which I believe marketing companies and professionals should take advantage of,” she stated.
