NIPCO reiterates commitment to safety excellence on World Safety Day

As the world celebrates World Safety Day 2025, NIPCO PLC, a leading downstream operator in Nigeria’s hydrocarbon industry, has reiterated its unalloyed commitment to safety excellence in its workplace.

NIPCO Managing Director, Suresh Kumar, who disclosed this while addressing the workforce on the occasion of World Day of Safety & Health at Work, emphasized the company’s dedication to providing a secure environment for all employees.

Kumar said: “By embracing AI and digitalization, organizations can create safer, healthier and more efficient work environment.”

This year’s theme, “Revolutionising Health & Safety: The role of AI digitalization at Work,” is particularly apt, as it highlights the critical role that technology plays in promoting health and safety at work.

He states that the company  has a proven track record of prioritizing safety, with an impressive record of no Lost Time Injuries (LTI) over the past two decades adding that this achievement is a testament to the company’s rigorous safety protocols and high housekeeping standards.

According to him, the company’s safety goals include proactive risk management, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

Kumar urged all employees to remain vigilant and prioritize safety in their daily tasks, emphasizing that their contributions are vital to the company’s safety excellence.
