Macron to attend Pope’s funeral

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday said he would attend the funeral of Pope Francis, who died on Monday at 88.

“We will attend the pope’s funeral as we should,” he told reporters.

The Vatican has announced that the funeral will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

The Vatican confirmed that the pontiff passed away on Easter Monday at his residence in the Casa Santa Marta within Vatican City.
