By Giwa SHILE

Eight ships carrying petrol and other products are waiting to berth at Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Tuesday in Lagos.

The NPA said four of the vessels were waiting to berth with petrol while the remaining four would berth with aviation fuel, diesel and fertilizer.

It also said 30 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected in Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between June 26 and July 30.

“The expected ships contain bulk wheat, containers, steel, frozen fish, empty containers, base oil, butane gas, bulk fertiliser, general cargo and petrol,” it said.
