23 ships discharge petroleum products, other items at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Tuesday that 23 ships at the Lagos ports were discharging bulk wheat, bulk gypsum, general cargo, frozen fish, container, base oil, bulk clinker and petrol.

The NPA made this known in its publication, ‘Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available in Lagos.

It listed other items being discharged as ethanol, bulk sugar and automobile gasoline.

Sixteen other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected from March 16 to April 4.

According to the NPA, the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex.

It said that the ships contain frozen fish, general cargo, base oil, bulk wheat, bulk gypsum, vehicle, automobile gasoline and container.

Meanwhile, another nine ships that had arrived the ports were waiting to berth with container, petrol, base oil, bulk malt and automobile gasoline.
