Beware of Lagos traffic snarls, airport terminal operator warns travelers

Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Ltd., operator of the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Wednesday advised travellers to plan their movements well in advance to avoid missing their flights.

Its Corporate Affairs Manager, Mr Mikail Mumuni, gave the advice in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos.

Mumuni stated that the advice became necessary because of current gridlocks around the Lagos airport and within the Lagos metropolis.

He noted that the traffic situation in Lagos had degenerated to a deplorable level in recent times because of on-going construction projects by the state government.

He noted also that the situation had resulted in endles traffic snarls around the airport and other places, adding that businesses, commuters and passengers were the most hit.

He advised intending travellers to plan to get to the airport early so as not to continue to miss their flights.

Mumuni noted that travellers were not factoring in the traffic snarls before setting out for the airport and many had consequently missed their flights
