14 ships with petrol, other commodities arrive Lagos ports

Fourteen ships conveying petrol and other commodities have berthed at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Friday.

The authority said in its daily publication, `Shipping Position’ that the vessels were waiting to berth with their consignments at the ports. According to NPA, seven ships have petrol, while seven others have diesel, containers and frozen fish.

NPA said no fewer than 26 ships were expected to berth in Lagos ports between June 14 and June June 29.

It added that the 26 expected ships would sail in with general cargo, bulk sugar, bulk salt, semi-trailers, bulk fertiliser, aviation fuel, buckwheat, bulk gypsum, petrol and container.
