GOC tasks officers and men on professionalism

Maj.-Gen Anthony Omozoje, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 2 Division, Nigerian Army has urged officers and soldiers of the division to remain focused on the standards of regimentation and professionalism.

Omozoje gave the charge on Wednesday in Benin during a familiarisation tour of establishments under the 4 Brigade.

The GOC said that there was a sense of responsibility and commitment from the Brigade Commander, Brig.-Gen Greg Omorogbe as well as officers and men in the Brigade.

He therefore advised officers and men on continuous professionalism and responsiveness to every challenge in order to surmount them.

The GOC during the visit inaugurated the Solar powered street lights project initiated and installed at the 4 Brigade Headquarters.

Also inaugurated were refurbished vehicles, renovated and furnished 4 Brigade Garrison Headquarters and the renovated 322 Artillery empty yard.

Omorogbe in his remarks said that the street lights project was conceived because of the general poor power supply in the State as well as to boost security around the Brigade.

He also said that the remodeled and renovated 4 Brigade Garrison edifice was done to improve the working environment of officers and men.

The GOC inaugurated the renovated Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST) Administrative building done by Maj.-Gen Bolaji Salami, the Commandant of the school as well as the Model Room and heavy duty mechanical transport yard in the school.
