Council chair orders rescue of kidnapped child

The Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South Local Government of Abia State, Mr. Ike Anyatonwu, has ordered the commander of a vigilance group in the council to ensure the unconditional release of a kidnapped two-year-old child, Master Chisom Ngozi.

He is said to be the son of Mr. and Mrs. Collins Ngozi Nwamuo of Ohuhu Ekwuru Nvosi in Umunna Nvosi Autonomous Community, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government.

The boy was said to have been abducted by one Joy, a member of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Isiala Ngwa South Command.

Ukaumunna, described the abduction of the child as evil and inhuman.

The council boss wondered why a security personnel, who should protect people’s lives and property, should indulge in such an act.

He directed the Commander, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Isiala Ngwa South, Mr. Joe Fred and his officials to ensure the unconditional release of the little boy and produce the perpetrator of the dastardly act for prosecution, to act as a deterrent to others.
