****There can be only one winner
The Civil Society, Coalition For Good Governance, says it has noticed the proliferation of unsubstantiated news and rumors, which are aimed definitely at heating up the polity, sowing of discord, and panic in the heart of the residents and citizens of Osun State.
Mr Adetayo Adegbemle, the Executive Director of C4GG disclosed this in a statement According to Adegbemle,
“We hereby want to categorically condemn this acts as undemocratic, unsportsmanly and destructive.
“There has been an increase lately of different reports and fake news which were only aimed at causing trouble in State against the Government.
“This is of course as a result of the July 16, 2022 State Elections, and the outome.
“We must clearly state that there can only one Winner in any election, but the Ultimate Winner should be Osun State, and the good people of Osun State,” he added.
C4GG hereby also call on the apparatus of the State Security to please up their game, arrest and prosecute any purveyors of such fake news that could disrupt the peace the State.
“The Good people of Osun State have settled down and moved on after the Elections, and nobody has the right to cause any panic through spread of unsubstantiated news.
“Let us eschew this politics of bitterness, and join hands together to deliver good governance to the everyday man and woman of Osun State, Adegbemle appealed.
