Traditional ruler pledges to collaborate, support NDLEA in Lagos

Oba Kabir Shotobi the Ayangburen of Ikorodu has pledged to collaborate and support the activities of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Lagos.

The Oba made the pledge when he played host to the state Commander of NDLEA, Commander Liman Wali in his palace.

In a statement signed by the Assistant State Commander, Media and Advocacy, ACN, Mallum Musa, the Oba equally promised to engaged all stakeholders in his domain in the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA).

The Oba said that the engagement would enable his subjects to be aware of the dangers of drug abuse.

Earlier, Wali having appreciated the Oba seek to strengthen the already established good relationship between the NDLEA and the palace of the Oba.

He said that he was aware of all the support the Oba had rendered to the command before and after his assumption of duty in Lagos .

The State Commander, however, demanded more support, urging the Oba not to be tired of NDLEA activities.

He also solicited for a more robust engagement with the palace in the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) which was the main focus of the agency.

He said WADA sensitised, enlightened and educate the public about the health hazard and implications that drug abuse causes to humans.
