Oyetola hosts reinstated Osun LG Chairmen, visits Akande

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, has played host to the reinstated Local Government Chairmen in Osun at his Iragbiji residence.

Oyetola, the immediate past Governor of Osun stated this in statement by his Adviser on Media and Communication, Dr Bolaji Akinola, in Lagos.

Akinola said that the delegation, led by Mr Abiodun Idowu, Chairman of the Osun chapter of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), appreciated the minister for his steadfast support and pivotal role in facilitating their return to office.

According to him, Idowu, who describes the visit as symbolic, says it underscores Oyetola’s deep-rooted connection with the grassroots leadership.

He said that the group acknowledged Oyetola’s enduring commitment to good governance and political inclusivity, crediting his guidance and advocacy as instrumental in their reinstatement.

Akinola added that in the spirit of Easter and political camaraderie, Oyetola also on Tuesday visited former Osun Governor and APC National Leader, Chief Bisi Akande, at his residence in Ila, Osun.

According to him, during the visit, Oyetola exchanged Easter greetings with Chief Akande and engaged in meaningful discussions centered on national development, party unity, and the principles of leadership.

He said that Oyetola commended Akande for his dedication to public service, highlighting his legacy as a pillar of progressive politics and a beacon of democratic ideals in Nigeria.

He said that both visits were rich in symbolism and substance, reinforcing the values of loyalty, respect, and collaborative leadership.

He said that this would continue to shape the political landscape in Osun and beyond.
