NEMA confirms 2 dead at Lagos 3-storey building collapse

Two persons have been confirmed dead, while two others were rescued from a three-storey building that collapsed in Yaba area of Lagos.

Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, Zonal Coordinator, Southwest, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), confirmed the development on Saturday in Lagos.

Farinloye said that a three-Storey Building under construction at No. 16 Akanbi crescent, off Adesina Street, Harvey, Sabo, Yaba, collapsed trapping about five workers.

“Two of them have been rescued alive, but two adult males were recovered dead.”

“Search and rescue operations are ongoing,” Farinloye said.
