NACCIMA commiserates with victims of train, Kaduna airport attacks

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has in its condolence message stated that the Association is saddened with the news of recent attacks on the Abuja/Kaduna bound train and dastard attack of Kaduna Airport, throwing the Nation into mourning.

The NACCIMA Acting DG, Mr. Opeyemi Alaran who started this in a statement made available to TBI Africa, noted that the Association is further disturbed about the impression that the country is is no longer safe for for business.

In his words, “It is with a sense of sadness that our Association, NACCIMA, reacts to news of bandit attacks on the Kaduna Airport and another on a passenger train; just a few of recent news reports of such attacks.

“Our sense of sadness is for the avoidable loss of lives, for which we commiserate with the family and loved ones of the deceased, as well as the humanitarian and economic damage that these attacks have caused.

” As these quantifiable losses mount, the Association is further disturbed by the increasing connotation that our country is unsafe to do business.

” This is extremely concerning given that current economic realities require inflows of foreign direct investment for sustained economic growth.

” We advocate yet again for urgent and incisive policy implementation by government at all levels to tackle this issue of insecurity. NACCiMA is on hand to partner with government to implement innovative solutions based on existing platforms, such as the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).”
