8 ships with petroleum products expected at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Thursday said that eight out of the 27 ships expected at the Lagos Port Complex, were carrying petroleum products.

It listed the petroleum products as butane gas, petrol and automobile gasoline.

It said that the remaining 19 ships expected at the port were carrying bulk salt, general cargo, container, boat, bulk sugar, bulk gypsum, sulphur, wheat bran, bulk wheat, bulk fertilizer, palm oleum and frozen fish.

Accoring to the NPA, the ships are expected to arrive at the Lagos Port Complex as from Feb. 16 to Feb. 25.

The authority also reports that three other ships are waiting to berth at the port with petrol and bulk sugar.

It also stated that 20 other ships, which arrived the port, were discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, container, soya bean meal, bulk sugar, bulk fertilizer, truck, frozen fishes, petrol and bulk urea.
