Popular actor Saint Obi dies after protracted illness

 

Popular actor Saint Obi has reportedly died at 57.

The actor breathed his last on Monday after battling an unstated protracted ailment.

However, the Actors Guild of Nigeria is yet to make an official statement about the movie star’s death due to alleged family disagreement.

Before his demise, Saint Obi was reportedly relocated to his siblings in Jos, the Plateau State capital for treatment of the ailment that kept him in and out of the hospital for over two years.

Saint Obi came into the acting scene in 1996 after featuring in a commercial for Peugeot on NTA.

The deceased, who featured in over 60 movies, was the delight of many in the 90s and early 20s.

He was known for his roles in Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime and Last Party.
