1 dies in Otedola bridge lorry accident in Lagos

At least one person was on Tuesday morning confirmed dead in a lone accident involving a truck fully loaded with wheat on Otedola Bridge inward Ojodu Berger area of Lagos.
The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the accident said only one male adult died in the accident.
According to him, his men arrived at the scene and discovered that a truck with no registration number was involved in a the accident.
Further information gathered at the scene revealed that the truck lost control while descending the hill from Mobil filling station inward Otedola.
Witnesses said the truck, which was trying to avoid collision with other vehicles, lost control and crashed into the side of the bridge.
The driver compartment was found hanging down the bridge with some of the loads littering all over the road, thereby blocking the entire route under the bridge inward Otedola estate.
It was further gathered that the deceased male adult, who happened to be one of the occupants of the truck, fell off the bridge and lost his life.
As of the time of filing this report, the LASEMA crane had been deployed to the scene of the accident to remove the truck from the ever-busy road.
