In ensuring effective and sustainable energy transition: “The Path to Net Zero”, over 15, 000 visitors in over 100 countries will gathered in Calgary, Canada to kick-start the 24th World Petroleum Congress scheduled for September 17 to 21.

The Business Intelligence (TBI Africa) reports that the World Petroleum Congress was billed to attract over 5, 000 delegates with over 200 National and International Exhibitors.

The WPC conference was tagged “Energy Transition: The Path to Net Zero”.

The conference is scheduled to holds at Stampede Park, Calgary, Canada.

According to the organiser, the
World population is still increasing, and billions of people need to be brought out of energy poverty, requiring more energy in the future than today.

“Our challenge is to involve all stakeholders so that our energy transformation is responsible and reflects good governance and the needs of society, the climate, and the environment, leading to a reliable, economically viable, and sustainable energy future and a better world for all.

“This will be the net zero approach addressed at the Congress.

The 24th edition of the World Petroleum Congress will be an important bridge between the traditional energy sector and a more carbon-neutral industry over the next twenty-five years.

Many important conversations will happen in Calgary to help define realistic, workable paths to a net zero future.

The Canadian Chapter of the World Petroleum Council is over 70 years old!! Joining the WPC
organization in 1950, Canada has been a very active member and promoting the petroleum
industry both home and abroad.

World Petroleum Council (WPC), a non-political, Non-Governmental Organization accredited by
the United Nations.

than 60 representatives of the Canadian oil and gas industry from the private, public and

worldwide, primarily by organizing the Canadian presence at the tri-annual World Petroleum
Congress.

This event is a forum for debating key industry issues, sharing best practices, and
reaching out to key stakeholders.
