Gunmen kill 7 in Police PRO’s community in Benue State

Armed men suspected to be herdsmen have invaded the home town of the Benue State police command public relations officer, Catherine Anene, in Gwer-West local government area and killed seven persons.
LEADERSHIP gathered from sources in the community that herdsmen who were 10 in number stormed two communities, Tse Gamber in Sengev council ward and Camp Nagi, Mbachohon council ward, a settlement along Naka-Agagbe Road, killing three and four persons in separate attacks.
When contacted, Anene who confirmed the incident, said three of her cousins were killed in the attacks and insisted that three was the total number of deaths, but sources said the figure was higher.
Our correspondent gathered that the bodies of the killed persons is yet to be removed for burial.
