German minister lauds draft BREXIT deal

By Meletus EZE

Germany’s European Affairs Minister Michael Roth said on Monday that the draft BREXIT deal negotiated by British Prime Minister Theresa May ‘is better than no deal.’

He stated this in an interview with Germany’s SWR broadcaster.
Roth said there would be no new negotiations on Britain’s departure from the European Union, adding that the draft Brexit deal ‘is better than a no-deal outcome.’
He said critics of British Prime Minister should know that Britain’s negotiation position would not improve even with a new leader.
“Ultimately I can only urge everyone to use reason and realise that no deal better than the one on the table can be reached,” he said.
