The Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has said she is not bothered about the attempts to have her constituents recall her from the Senate.

The suspended legislator spoke through her media aide, Israel Arogbonlo in an exclusive phone call with The PUNCH on Wednesday.

PUNCH Online reports that some people in Natasha’s constituency announced that they have initiated a recall process against her,.

The recall process witnessed in the Okehi Local Government Area on Wednesday, saw some electorates egistering for the recall process.

One of the electorates, Nura Ibrahim, said the exercise is being carried out across party lines because of the growing dissatisfaction with Akpoti-Uduaghan’s performance, particularly in addressing key issues like poverty, infrastructure, and education.

However, Akpoti-Uduaghan’s aide described the move to have her recalled as sponsored, saying it will not stand.

“Whatever you are seeing is being sponsored by the fifth columnists. We have no reason to want to join issues with anybody. As far as we are concerned, the recall attempts wouldn’t stand.

“We are not under any form of pressure and we will never be. I hope you recall there was a protest by our actual constituents two days ago that there was no plan to recall anybody,” the aide said.
