Nestoil gets certification in Quality Management Systems

By Thompson ABISOLA

Nestoil Limited and its subsidiaries- B&Q and Impac, says it has been awarded the International Standard Organisation 9001:2015 for Quality Management System.

Its Head, Corporate Communications, Osagie Ogunbor, said in Lagos on Thursday that the certification was issued by Germany-based DQS, a leading certification body.

Ogunbor said that the certification had officially confirmed that Nestoil, B & Q and Impac have put people, processes and systems in place to ensure quality delivery of products and services to customers and clients.

Also, Nestoil Group Managing Director, Dr Ernest Obiejesi, said the certification underscores the fact that Nestoil and its affiliate companies were committed to global best practices.

Obiejesi said that Nestoil was among the first set of companies to successfully transit from the earlier certification of ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015.

He said that the company was more committed in the delivery of services to their respective stakeholders.

Obiejesi urged employees to remain firmly committed to delivering the highest quality standards to customers and clients at all times.

The Quality Management Systems (QMS) based certifications are often required in bidding for public sector jobs especially in the Oil & Gas Industry.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) which regulates these certifications is a globally acclaimed body based in Geneva.

Obiejesi said it made up of over 160 national bodies, including the U.S, the United Kingdom and Germany.

Nestoil is Nigeria’s largest indigenous Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) Company in the Oil and Gas sector.

It has been a significant contributor to the industry since its inception in 1991.
