10 ships arrive Lagos ports with petrol, bulk fertiliser

Ten ships laden with various products, including petrol, are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) made this known in its daily “Shipping Position’’ made available in Lagos on Thursday.It said five of the ships would berth with petrol.

The document noted that the remaining five ships would berth with base oil, buckwheat, containers and bulk fertiliser.

According to NPA, 33 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected in Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between June 14 and June 26.

It said the expected ships contained buckwheat, containers, steel, frozen fish, bauxite, empty containers, Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), soya beans, diesel, bulk sugar, base oil, aviation fuel, bulk fertiliser, general cargo and petrol.
