BREAKING: Buhari renames Abuja National Stadium after Abiola

President Mohammadu Buhari has renamed the Abuja National Stadium after Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.

Speaking in Abuja during the Democracy Day celebration, Buhari said that henceforth the stadium should be called Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

The President also announced the conferment of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, GCON, to Abiola, and Baba Gana Kingibe, Abiola’s running mate during the election, and late Gani Fawehinmi, one of Nigeria’s foremost Civil Rights Activist.
