29 ships carrying petrol, other products expected at Lagos ports – NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said 29 ships laden with petroleum products, food and other goods will berth at Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports from June 11 to June 29.

The NPA made the announcement in its daily publications, ‘Shipping Position’ in Lagos on Tuesday.

It said that four of the ships would sail in with petrol.

The publication said that 25 other ships would bring in general cargo, bulk salt, bulk gypsum, buckwheat, bulk sugar and containers carrying different goods.

It added that seven ships had arrived at the ports earlier, waiting to berth with frozen fish, diesel, container and petrol.

According to the publication, no fewer than nine ships are at present discharging bulk gypsum bulk fertiliser, soya beans, container and buckwheat and containers.
