U.S. embassy denies placing ban on student visa for Nigerians

The United States on Monday denied placing a ban on student visa for Nigerians.

The U.S. embassy in Nigeria in a statement on its verified twitter, @USEmbassyAbuja described the report as fake news.

Recall that the report had circulated on social media over the weekend that the U.S. embassy in Nigeria had placed a ban on study visa for Nigerians until further notice.

The embassy urged Nigerians to disregard the report, adding that it is false.
