TheEko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has denied having any link with a man who was alleged to be an EKEDC staff, tampering on properties of the Ikeja Electric (IE).

The company’s General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr Godwin Idemudia said this in a statement on Friday in Lagos.

Idemudia noted that the EKEDC had nothing to do with the alleged criminal that was arraigned on a 2-count charge at the Ejigbo Magistrate Court 1 on Oct.16 for impersonation as staff of IE.

”He is a scammer and the ID card he is posing with as his link with the company is not just fake but unfounded.

“The EKEDC does not make its ID cards like that and we are using this medium to call on security agencies to conduct more wholesome and deeper investigations on the issue.

”We will also appreciate greatly if we can be called upon to ascertain our knowledge of situations that may be demeaning to our name and reputation in the future.

”The EKEDC will also like to use this opportunity to remind our teeming customers of our determination to give them the best services at all times,” he concluded.
