Environmental sanitation: NOA reads riot act to violators

The National Orientation Agency, (NOA) Ondo State, on Friday, warned those in the habit of contravening the provision of the extant law of the monthly environmental to desist or be prosecuted.

Mr Ralph Oguntibeju, Public Relations Officer, NOA, in a statement in Akure explained that the monthly exercise was had been scheduled for Saturday, Nov.30 between 7:00 a.m and 10:00 a.m, with restriction of movement.

According to him, Mr Bode Famose, Director, NOA, Ondo State has admonished the people of the state to come out en-masse to tidy up their surroundings during the exercise.

“The NOA boss reiterated that the task of making our environment clean is the responsibility of all Nigerians.

“He enjoined the people to guide against unwholesome practices of indiscriminate dumping of refuse to volatile areas as it could constitute environmental health hazard to the overall well-being of citizenry.

“Furthermore, the NOA Director charged the stakeholders in the environmental sanitation project to braze up to the challenge of making this month edition a huge success,” he said.
